It is of the utmost importance that you replace your helmet immediately after being involved in a horseback riding incident where you have hit your head. Helmets are designed to protect your head for one impact only, as the force of the impact is spread throughout the entire helmet; hitting the right side of your head impacts the left side of the helmet as well. below you’ll find the accident replacement policies for the helmets we carry.
Charles Owen will gladly replace any helmet involved in a horseback riding accident. The owner of the accident helmet needs to fill out the Accident Report Form. All helmets must be returned with the accident report form.
The program is as follows:
65% off of retail during the 1st year of ownership
50% off retail during the 2nd year of ownership
20% off retail during the 3rd year of ownership
Return / replacement of helmet is handled by Olson’s Tack Shop. Replacement policy for all/any style helmet involved in a horseback riding accident only, must include the original receipt, purchased within the last 12 months, and must include a descriptive letter signed and dated by the rider.
Per GPA policy, only one accident replacement per new helmet purchased is allowed. No accident replacements will be allowed for a helmet originally purchased as an accident replacement.

Customers are required to contact Phoenix Performance Products directly. Replacement policy for all/any style helmet involved in a horseback riding accident only, purchased within the last 12 months, must include name, address, phone number, retail store where the helmet was purchased, receipt or proof of purchase, warranty card must have been received within 30 days of purchase and a brief written detail of the mishap or fall.
